It’s Friday afternoon and that means a brand new episode of
Oilersnation Radio has been wrapped up, edited into a masterpiece,
and ready to stimulate your ear feelings as you head into the
weekend. This week, we looked at early line combinations, outdoor
games, ghosts of Oilers past, and a whole lot more.
To kick off this week's podcast, we jumped in with a look at
the Giant Question of the week which revolved around the top-six
for the upcoming season. With that in mind, we spent a few minutes
discussing a way-too-early look at what the line combinations might
look like when the season is finally able to get underway. Should
Dave Tippett move Nugent-Hopkins up with McDavid? Should he keep
the NuDraMoto line together? Will he? Needless to say, all four of
us thought that the Oilers have more options available than they
have in the past, which makes the idea of mixing up the
combinations a lot more interesting for this season. From there, we
looked at the report from Elliotte Friedman that a handful of teams
are exploring the possibility of outdoor games, so we spent a few
minutes talking about whether or not it's even possible. Next up, I
recently discovered that former friend, Teemu Hartikainen, is
leading the KHL in points but was just never able to make it with
the Oilers, spawning a conversation about past guys that we had
hoped would be The Answer.
